everytime i hear a pseudo pop culture sufi in their rumi rants, i want to stab myself in the eye so i cant see them, and cut off my ears. (is that harsh?)
Aminah Sheikh has completed a BA in Women Studies from York University. Recently, she completed an MSc in Globalisation and Development with a specialisation in Gender and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. She has worked with various feminist organizations. Such as women's shelters and transition homes. She is involved in consciousness raising and adovacy for Muslim women and other marginalized groups. Aminah has helped in mobilizing grassroots projects in Toronto and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Her blog's purpose is to allow historically silenced voices to be heard. Moreover, it hopes to advocate the importance in the lived experiences of ACTUAL Muslim women, like her own narratives.
